About Feldspar
Songwriting and production is what I'm all about. Taking an idea and moulding it into something exciting is what drives me. I can play guitar,bass and keys and can tech programme with the best of them.
Getting a great vocal and melody working with a groove is what most genres of music demand and that's what I aim to deliver. I can work with an idea and take it to a fully produced and mastered track ready for release.
CO-WRITING I love co-writing! As an artist or fellow songwriter if you want to try a co-write then hit the contact button and we'll do it!. If you want me to just produce a track I can do that too!
What styles do I work with? A bit of everything is the short answer! Writers like Julia Michaels, Emily Warren, Ian Kirkpatrick Justin Trantner, Phoebe Bridgers, Charlie XCX. Sophie Holohan, Mimi Webb, through to Kacey Musgraves interest me at the moment.
I can also mix and remix tracks to give a project more longevity between release cycles.
Bio
Feldspar is Michael Norwood. Based in Co Down N.Ireland.
Michael started off in cover bands and progressed to original material with the bands Out Of The Shadow and Peacefrog.
Out of the Shadow were featured in the NME. The lead singer went on to work with Van Morrison's band. Peacefrog supported The Cranberries, David Bowie and Hothouse Flowers among others. Michael produced their first demo which went on to receive a lot of airplay on local radio North and South. He has appeared on numerous TV and Radio shows with the BBC,RTE and UTV.
Michael was offered a publishing deal and went on to work in producing radio and TV commercials, and station idents aired all over Ireland.
Now a Platinum member of the Songwriting Academy, Michael, aka Feldspar, has been co writing with artists and songwriters all over the world including the US, Canada, South Africa, and Europe.He has worked closely with mentors in the TSA such as Rob Wells, Shelly Poole, Charlie Grant, Luc Floreani, Heliene Lindvall and Julian Hinton.
Recent co writng with German pop artist Ayla who has many 000's of streaming nubers and regular monthly listens (featured in the music player).
